Spanish Translations UK support Haiti Hospital Appeal with a Sponsored 24 Hour Famine PRESS RELEASE 28th January 2010 On Tuesday 12th January the country of Haiti experienced their worst earthquake in two centuries hitting the south of the capital Port-au-Prince; wrecking the presidential palace, UN HQ and other buildings. Up to 3 million people are thought to be effected, with many sources suggesting that thousands of people have died, and many more have been injured. It is crises like these that the world unites and helps those that are in need. When you hear about the kindness of John Travolta; who has used his private plane to twice fly help to aid the people in Haiti, and Simon Cowell; who has organised for a single to be release and the proceeds going to Haiti. Witnessing support like this is a wonderful thing, and that is why Charlotte Blake; Spanish Translations UK founder decided to go on a 24 hour famine in order to raise some capital in aid the Haiti Hospital Appeal. We are pleased that the support received has been infectious, having received a generous donation from the organic beauty brand AAA Shea Butter, and also roping in friends; Miguel Rodriguez, Karolina Pysz, and Kamil Strug, as support for the big day. The famine is taking place today, and as much support as possible is needed. If you would also like to support this cause you can donate online by clicking here.
